Victorian Staffordshire selection alongside Royal Doulton & Crown Devon comprising John Peel (1776-1854) musical jug (Rd No. 753789) c.1930s; Peel was an English huntsman & subject of 19thC song, 'D'ye ken John Peel' as inscribed; jug also features painted rural/hunting scenes, molded fox handle, plus wind-up mechanism, release pin & Crown Devon, Fieldings pottery mark to underside; Royal Doulton's Biddy Penny Farthing (HN 1843), designed by Leslie Harradine & issued 1938; figurine depicts elderly lady selling multi-coloured balloons & yellow flowers; made from hand-painted bone china & crown marked verso; plus number of Victorian Staffordshire hand-painted earthenware inc. 2 spill vases, one tree trunk shaped with applied tuffs to the branches, two children sleeping beneath, whilst a bird provides cover; 'A present from Scarborough' church spill vase with three brick towers, clock face & bocage bordering; 3 porcelain flatback figurines inc. female with watering can & pot outdoors plus Scottish lassie/shepherdess with a plaid clan sash & lamb by her feet, on grassy knoll; together with clock figure grouping of a Scottish couple holding baskets of fruit & wearing feathered caps, approx.
