A late Victorian 18ct gold ruby and diamond ring. The oval-shape ruby and old-cut diamond alternating line, with scrolling sides. AF. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1899. Ring size P. Weight 2.6gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • One diamond deficient.

  • Centre ruby protrudes to bottom of the setting, probable replacement.
  • Rubies slightly purplish-red, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
