SET OF THREE CHINESE 'PHOENIX MEDALLIONS' BOWLS - GUANGXU. A set of three porcelain bowls, painted in iron red with four Pheonix Medallions to the exterior, and with gilded rims. With Guangxu marks in underglaze blue to the base, all with some damages (11.5cms diameter)
*Provenance, These bowls come from the Moorhead/Waud families and were part of collections originally owned by Robert Bradshaw Moorhead (1831-1903) and his son John Hercules Murray Moorhead (1859-1938). More family information is available.

1st bowl, hairline crack (3.5cms long) and small chip to the rim around the hairline, blob of restoration to the side of the bowl, some wear to the rim
2nd bowl, large crack running right across the bowl, with a large chip to the rim and another hairline running from it
3rd bowl, hairline crack (5cms long) and chip to the rim around the hairline, nibble to the rim.
