A Sony model TR-624 six transistor which was presented to John F Kennedy by a friend from Japan. This together with others was bought from Japan by his friend who wanted them shown to the President indicating the progress Japan was making in technology. Kennedy was extremely impressed by the Japanese technology and the sophistication of these products to the degree that he kept these transistors on his desk in the Oval office for several days. The transistor being offered was one which remained after the others have been removed.
This is accompanied by a letter from the White House Washington dated March 4th 1988 and signed by Evelyn Lincoln personal secretary to the late President John F Kennedy.
