Amended description - An 18th Century mahogany longcase clock with eight day striking movement, the 12 inch brass broken arch dial with silvered chapter ring, with rolling moon phase, high water / tide register, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture to a matted centre, signed Joseph Smith, Bristol, enclosed by a reeded pillar hood surmounted with three brass ball finials over a long moulded edge trunk door on canted plinth and bracket feet, height 236cm.

Amended condition report - Small old crack below the hood keyhole escutcheon and some patches of veneer loss inside the hood door.
The seat board has been well packed to either side.
Pair of lead weights, a winder and the pendulum are present.
