A late Victorian silver and gold, sapphire, diamond and pearl brooch. The pearl and diamond drop, suspended from a circular-shape sapphire and old-cut diamond bow, with similarly-cut sapphire and diamond wreath surround. Estimated total diamond weight 0.90ct. Length 2.6cms. Weight 5.4gms. Pearl untested.

More Information

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with small to moderate inclusions under 10x magnification. Few with small chips.
  • Sapphires are a well matched medium slightly violetish blue hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Sapphires generally in good condition with minor abrasions. One with some minor chips to the side of the table.

  • Pearl untested.
  • Pearl is a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Pearl in good condition.
