A cultured pearl and diamond bug brooch. Designed as a brilliant-cut diamond body, cultured pearl thorax, with similarly-cut diamond wings and circular-shape sapphire eyes. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Length 2.7cms. Weight 6.2gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamond fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Sapphire medium dark blue moderate to poor saturation, with profuse inclusions that affect the passage of light through the stone.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Cultured pearls are a creamy-white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
