DUKE OF WELLINGTON INKWELL. 2.6ins tall. Medium to lighter salt glaze. Tall torso form - shoulders, head, schoolboy cap. Rear features a cleverly designed pen holder with inset curved section. Tiny in manufacture firing flaw otherwise excellent. Dudley Davidson collection. Very rare stoneware figural ink offering.
AMENDED 26/06/25: Guy corrected the lot title - it is in fact Duke of Wellington, modelled after a tiny Stephen Green made handled jug.
