A late Victorian 18ct gold garnet single-stone ring. The oval-shape garnet, with tapered shoulders and plain band. AF. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1899. Ring size V. Weight 5.2gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Garnet medium purplish red, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Garnet has a large fracture, running through the stone, it is surface reaching and effecting the overall durability of the stone.

  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
