William Huggins (1820-1884) 'When Doctors Disagree & c', depicting a group of pelicans observing a hatching egg, ink and watercolour sketch on paper, in a period gilt card mount, signed. 25.5cm x 20cm.

Footnote: William Huggins was a member of the Liverpool Academy of Arts. and visited Wombwell's Travelling Menagerie as well as the Liverpool Zoological Gardens. He was known for keeping a house full of animals and works by him are held in the Tate Gallery.
