An Art Deco chryselephantine (bronze and ivory) figure of a shoe-shine boy, Dominique Alonzo, (fl. c. 1910-1930), modelled in standing pose wearing a bobble hat, with ivory face and left hand, wearing short coat, waistcoat and breeches with knee pads, holding a bucket of tools in the crook of his right arm, on asymmetrical cobbled base, signed in the cast 'Alonzo', foundry stamp LN Paris JL (for Les Neveux de J. Lehmann), 8.5cm, (21.5cm) high.
Hat is missing its bobble. Head is loose. Some rubbing to high points of bronze.
