A smokebox numberplate, 45046, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5046 built by Vulcan Foundry, Works No 4591, in 1934, becoming BR 45046. A much travelled engine, its BR sheds included Carnforth, Crewe South, Crewe North, Stockport and Bolton from where it was withdrawn in June 1968 and sold for scrap to Cohens at Kettering. The front repainted. (Postage Band: D)
