ANTIQUARIAN BOOK REGARDING ROMAN NUMISMATICS. Possibly 17th century. Square 8vo. 72 engravings of studies of Roman coins. Title page missing. Hardcover, bound in vellum featuring a central blind-stamped coat of arms to front and rear, gilt faded, and original clasp ties. Morocco label to spine reads "Numismat / 12 Caesar / Aenea vic". Covers are stained and marked. 3 past ownership inscriptions to front pastedown and flyleaf: "23 January 1827", "{illegible} White / Litchfield / Aprilis XV, MDCCCXI (1811)", "Sam Shepherd: Chelsea". Pages are age-toned with some front hinge damage and a few watermarks, otherwise engravings are clear and bright.
