A mid 20th century gem-set brooch. Designed as an old-cut diamond riding crop, with circular-shape ruby highlight. One paste replacement. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Length 5.9cms. Weight 4gms.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Some possible replacement diamonds.
  • One replacement paste.
  • One diamond near handle chipped.
  • Diamond fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Ruby is a medium pinkish-red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Ruby in condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges and small chip to reverse.

  • Stamped 750.
