RAILWAY CHRONOMETER REFORM FLASK. 7.3ins tall. Familiar front clock face design, time at 1-o-clock, with shapely top pediment like feature around the clock fingers - similar to the previous house flask. This has always been an extra elusive item to track down but in this instance features an ever rarer variant of brick like base plinth (only one other known), attributed Smith made, but unmarked There are 2 other variants to the chronometer flasks (minus base plinth). Base impressed Dudley Davidson collection. Bottom R corner has a flake to plinth. Also features an old hand written faded label.
