A rare Caughley 'Bright Sprigs' salad bowl or junket dish, circa 1782-92, painted in underglaze blue, nicely moulded with shells, painted S mark, 25.5cm wide Provenance: David Waterhouse Collection. DMW no. 279. Formerly Maurice Wright Collection. Whilst a common pattern, it is rare on this shape. Condition:Good condition with no damages or repairs. Scratches to the interior commensurate with age and use. Small firing blemish to interior.
