A late 18th century French Revolutionary period paper fan, the leaf mounted on simple tan wood sticks, the leaf printed, hand colored and featuring six figures, a shepherdess to the left with her lamb, a middle class couple to the right, the gentleman attempting to pick a red rose, the wealthier group in the centre in the most fashionable costume, the gentleman sporting his powdered wig, breeches, lace jabot and red coat, both ladies in extravagant hats and fitted bodices, guard approx. 28cm
