WW1 German Trench Art Shell Case Jug – Dated 1919 Interesting First World War trench art jug fashioned from a German brass artillery shell case manufactured in Düsseldorf in 1911. Engraved “MAGNY LA FOSSE” and dated 1919 within a laurel wreath enclosing the initials “CA”. The shell retains its original German maker’s markings to the base and has been hand-shaped into a decorative commemorative jug.
