Albert Durer Lucas (1828-1918), two oil paintings, the first  "Meadow Brown with Harebells and Other Flowers" painted on canvas, signed and dated 1881.  24 cm x 19 cm. The second on board depicting clouded yellow butterfly.  24 cm x 19 cm, signed and dated 1908.

More Information

The painting to the right-hand side on the images is generally in very good order. There are some slight cracking to the oils but nothing untoward. When looking at the canvas from the rear there are no signs of any holes or restoration. The frame has some missing sections both to the top right-hand side and lower portions. The second picture which is on board has a small patch of restoration which appears to be a crack in the board which is on the right-hand side of the butterfly and is +/- 12 cm in length. This is barely visible with the naked eye but is more visible when using a UV torch.
