An early 20th century 18ct gold zircon and diamond ring. The circular-shape blue zircon, with rose-cut diamond openwork gallery and similarly-set shoulders. Estimated dimensions of zircon 14.1 by 14 by 9.5mms. Ring size L1/2. Weight 5.8gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
Band shows evidence of repair/ resize.
Band showing fairly significant wear to the base.
Band appears to be unoriginal to the head. Consistent in age.
Diamonds well matched.
Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate weight estimation and colour and clarity assessment.
Diamonds with some small light inclusions under 10x magnification.
Zircon is a medium greenish blue hue, well saturated, with clarity and typical inclusions.
Zircon in good to fair condition with some abrasions and small nicks to facets and facet edges.
Stamped 18ct, partially indistinct.
