A late Victorian silver and gold, diamond and gem-set brooch. The old and rose-cut diamond foliate panel, with cushion-shape ruby highlights, within an old-cut diamond and seed pearl wreath. Estimated total diamond weight 1.25cts. Diameter 2.7cms. Weight 7.9gms.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Some rose-cut diamond to the foliate panel.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds generally with minor inclusions. Some with moderate surface reaching inclusions and small chips/ cavities.
  • Rubies are a well matched medium pinkish red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Rubies in good condition with minor abrasions to facets and facet edges.

  • Seed pearls are a creamy white colour with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Seed pearls generally in good condition, one with some moderate nacre damage.
