A mid 19th century gold enamel and split pearl brooch. Of oval outline, depicting two women holding a dove and a letter, within a split pearl surround. Length 5.4cms. Total weight 27.1gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Enamel cracked across lower quarter, discolouration in crack.
  • Hairline scratches on enamel.
  • Split pearls well matched.
  • Split pearls are creamy-white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
