An early 19th century oak- and mahogany-cased 30-hour painted dial longcase clock. Weight, Dursley, circa 1820. The 12-inch square Arabic dial having subsidiary calendar aperture over signature, within painted floral spandrels, the movement countwheel-striking on a bell, the case with flat hood on turned columns , the trunk with crossbanded long door, on a two-plank base with plinth, 77, (195.5cm) high.
Dial partly reblacked. Stained and crazed. Movement appear s sound; seatboard is narrow but no packing to cheeks. Hood cornice depleted, hood door loose (needs repinning), base is scuffed and knocked.
