A 19th century Irish urn
There is a small area of very minor rim fritting to the lip of the bowl. To the inside of the bowl there is a 2cm mouth-shaped piece which has been ground away - indicating previous damage. original air bubbles are visible in the lower urn-shaped section, the square-shaped plinth base has the pontil ground quite a way from the centre and exhibits scratches commensurate with age and in one corner has sustained a chip. One of the other corners also sustained a slight chip and has been ground away. The cover also slight rim fritting to the inside of the lip although appears to be in reasonably good condition otherwise. The faceted tip of the finial may have also sustained minor damage. The piece is not perfect
