A Chinese Brass Bowl with Extensive Incised Calligraphic Inscriptions.
A Chinese brass bowl of rounded form, the exterior densely decorated with neatly incised vertical rows of Chinese calligraphic inscriptions arranged in registers around the body. The surface has a warm golden-brass tone with a smooth interior contrasting the richly worked exterior. The bowl rests on a gently rounded base, the underside featuring further engraved decoration and a central square seal mark surrounded by stylised linear motifs.
