A late Victorian gold, diamond and gem-set brooch. The oval ceramic panel, depicting two putti holding a floral garland, to the pearl, split pearl and diamond point shell and floral swag surround. Length 4.5cms. Total weight 17.1gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
Ceramic panel has a small chip at the edge near the bottom. General surface scratches and minor nicks, few slightly deeper scratches.
Repairs visible to the reverse of the central panel mount, possible alterations.
Most pearls appear replacements, drilled.
