The Jaguar Mark 2 is a medium-sized saloon built from late 1959 to 1967 by Jaguar in Coventry. Adhering to Sir William Lyons maxim of "grace, pace and space", the Mark 2 was a fast and capable saloon. It came with a 120 bhp 2,483 cc, 210 bhp 3,442 cc, or 220 bhp 3,781 cc XK engine. The 3.8 is similar to the unit used in the 3.8 E-Type, having the same block, crank, connecting rods and pistons but different inlet manifold and carburation. The 3.4 Litre and 3.8 Litre cars were fitted with twin SU HD6 carburettors and the 2.4 Litre with twin Solex carburettors.

The vendor states that this Jaguar Mk2 2.4 Manual with overdrive, has had only one previous gentleman owner from new. Sadly the owner, who cherished the car, passed away in March this year and the family are now offering this car for sale.

The car has a Full History from new, including invoiced work done by Coombes of Guildford. Since 2006, almost £30,000 has been spent on the car. The work undertaken includes extensive bodywork and a full respray in the original colour, which has been done to a very high standard. It has also been subject to regular mechanical maintenance and benefits from the recent installation of power steering. Benefiting from the fitment of wire wheels and Coombes style rear spats. The interior is original and looks fantastic. The original steering wheel is also included in the sale, also the original owners handbook. The car has covered just over 80,000 miles from new.
