A Chinese Blue and White Lidded Porcelain Box with Dragon and Phoenix Motifs.
The rounded porcelain box features a smooth white glaze, decorated in vibrant underglaze cobalt blue. The domed lid displays a dramatic scene of two five-clawed dragons confronting two phoenixes among swirling clouds and flames, all enclosed within a scrolling ruyi border. The sides of both the lid and body are adorned with continuous floral scrolls, rendered in deep blue against the pristine white ground. The base is inscribed with six Chinese characters in blue within a double circle, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
