Pair of antique French bronze effect spelter "Le Telephone" figures from the "L'Industrie" series. Depicting a man and a woman with an electrical telecommunication or radio theme, the bases feature lightning bolts, spools of cable and conductors. The woman is holding aloft a torch of intertwined lightning bolts, with the man holding a microphone and a torch which incorporates ceramic insulators (commonly seen on the railway). Mounted to turned wooden plinths, approx 58cm tall to the top of their heads. (Woman 72cm tall, man 67cm tall). The mans arm appears to have been off and reattached.
