The BMW E30 was produced by BMW from 1982 to 1994. The initial models used the Coupe body style. Four-door saloon models were introduced in 1983, Convertibles were introduced in 1985 and Estate (Touring) models were introduced in 1987.
The E30 platform was the basis for the first BMW M3. This M3 is powered by the high-revving BMW S14 four-cylinder petrol engine, which produced 235 bhp. Externally, the E30's appearance is very similar to twin headlight versions of its E21 predecessor, however there are various detail changes in styling to the E30. Major changes over the E21 include interior features and revised suspension. As per the E21, a Baur Convertible was available.

In 1985 a factory convertible entered the model range. However, the Baur remained on sale alongside the factory convertible. At Frankfurt in September 1987, BMW introduced a major update to the E30, and changes to the lineup were the addition of the Touring and removal of the 325e model. The M10 4-cylinder engine was replaced by the M40. External styling and mechanical were made, including updating of the engine range.

The BMW E30 Convertible offered here has the 6 cylinder engine, is fitted with genuine BMW BBS alloy wheels, and is described by the vendor to be in stunning condition inside and out. The underneath of the car is solid and in the word of the mechanic 'one of the most solid examples of an E30 he has seen'. The roof is in good shape and is water tight.

It has a comprehensive service history with 13 services in total being serviced at 1k, 7k, 12k, 34k, 52k, 59k, 64k, 70k, 78k, 86k, 94k, 105k,and 113k. As part of the last service that was carried out in September 2017 it had the cambelt and water pump replaced. It has all its original service book, handbooks, owners manual and wallet. It drives fantastic and exactly how it should, and sounds great being the 6 cylinder engine. It has an MOT until June 2018 and went through with no advisories.
