A 20ct (tested) 18th-century mourning ring, the band with raised decoration bearing a name, date and age of death in scrolling bands: 'THYNNE WORSLEY ESQ.: OB: 1 FEB: 1741 AET: 29', remnants of black enamel still apparent; together with accompanying letter from the Longleat Estate confirming the connection with the Thynne family of Longleat. Weight 4.4 grams.
