A late Victorian silver and gold, sapphire and diamond brooch. The circular-shape sapphire and old-cut diamond floral cluster, with old-cut diamond foliate sides. Estimated total diamond weight 0.80ct. Length 4.4cms. Total weight 4.6gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Pin slightly bent.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • One diamond chipped.
  • Some diamonds with eye visible inclusions, some of which are surface reaching.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Sapphire is a medium to deep blue hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Sapphire in good condition with minor surface scratches and a small nick to the girdle.
