A Chinese Jade Carving of a Recumbent Buffalo.

The jade carving depicts a buffalo in a resting position, with its legs folded beneath its body. The figure is worked from pale jade with areas of russet tone, particularly around the head and horns. The buffalo’s rounded body is smoothly polished, with incised details at the tail and head to define its features.
