An uncommon Caughley 'Weir' kidney-shaped dessert dish, circa 1785-93, painted in underglaze blue with a water landscape including a man holding a long pole, unmarked, 27cm wide Provenance: David Waterhouse Collection. DMW no. 223. Formerly Crisp Collection. Condition:Tiny nibble to the underside of the foot rim and a fleabite to the rim edge at 9 o'clock, otherwise good.
