A Mid 20th Century Chinese Famille Rose hand painted porcelain baluster vase. The vase features extensive polychrome enamel decoration with gold accents. It has a flaring rim and a narrow neck adorned with large floral motifs, including roses and peonies, set against a dark ground. The shoulder is embellished with a band of hearts and dotted patterns. The ovoid body is divided into panels; one depicts two traditionally dressed female figures, one holding an umbrella, against a light blue background, while other panels showcase vibrant floral arrangements on a dark blue, stippled ground. The tapered foot is finished with a decorative band. No visible text or markings are apparent.
