An early 20th century Russian gold cigarette case. Of rectangular outline, the grooved case, with rounded corners and oval cabochon sapphire grip. St. Petersburg, 56 zolotnik mark. Maker's mark possibly KI. Length 9.7cms. Weight 167.7gms. With outer case.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Small dints to two corners.

  • Localised discolouration to inside of cigarette case.

  • Sapphire cabochon in good condition with minor abrasion and some surface wear.

  • Two personal engravings to inside, the first dated 14-2-38, the second 20-7-1960.
