A good North Devon slipware harvest jug, probably Barnstaple. Circa 1770, of unusual form, decorated with incised designs including a two headed eagle below a crown, a camel (the incised word 'Camello' being recorded as a word used in the English language in the 18th century), a lion, a stylised tulip head and other flowers, height 24cm.
