13 NOV. 1840 - 1d LETTERSHEET USED WITHIN IRELAND, TAXED AND WITH 'ROWLAND HILL' WAFER SEAL - stereo A18 (faults, soiled) to Agherton with v fine bright red 'No. 1' rh mark and cancelled with a red MX, marked in ms 'over ½ an oz' and 'More to Pay' with handstruck '2' alongside, ARMAGH, BELFAST & CARRICKFERGUS cds on the flap and COLERAINE cds slightly across the flap. Also completely intact yellow wafer seal with embossed text 'THANK/ROWLAND HILL/FOR THIS' and part correspondence on the underside of the flap referring to wafer seals 'tell me if you pofsess a packet of these papers yourself'.
