PROBABLY ENOCH WOOD, NINETEENTH CENTURY POTTERY FIGURE OF HOPE, painted in colours and modelled standing with an anchor, in front of bocage, on an oblong base, double banded in red, 8” (20.3cm) high, together with a FIGURE OF A YOUNG MAN HOLDING GRAPES, ON A SIMILAR BASE, 7 ½” (19cm) high, both unmarked, (2)
C/R- hope is heavily restored, the top part of the anchor is missing, the lower part is restored or re-glued, her left lower arm and hand have been replaced, her lower right arm is cracked right round, probably re-glued, head badly cracked an face restored, all of the bocage has been restored, the other figure has his left arm re-glued at the shoulder, restoration to the hat rim and with minor chips and a section re-glued
