More Information

Manufacturer: Fiat
Model: 126 SR Brown Limited Edition
First Registered: 1983
Registration No: KYA 906Y
Mileometer: 11,000
Chassis No: 8044694
MOT: TBC
Colour: Brown
The 126 used much of the same mechanical underpinnings and layout as its Fiat 500 rear-engined predecessor with which it shared its wheelbase, but featured an all new, slightly larger bodyshell similar to the larger Fiat 127, which was designed by Sergio Sartorelli and improved safety and interior space. Engine capacity was increased from 594 cc to 652 cc at the end of 1977 when the cylinder bore was increased from 73.5 to 77 mm. Claimed power output was unchanged at 23 bhp, but torque was increased. The 594 cc engines were still available in early 1983 production.

This lovely little Fiat 126 was supplied by Staceys Motors (Fiat) of Bridgewater Surrey on 23/5/1983. The original sales warranty document describes the car as a 126 SR Brown which was a Limited Edition Model. A visit to www.howmanyleft.com confirms it is one of only 21 in existence. The model had extras including the folding sunroof. This car also has a very rare Voxon radio, correct for the 126 of that period. The car was last MoT'd in Sept 2016 at 11,257 miles and now has 11,265 miles, covering only 8 miles before being placed in Classic Car storage with the vendors collection. The V5 shows 2 previous owners the latest being 2007.

Incredibly the car retains its original number plates, key rings, stamped service book, sales pamphlets, sales/warranty certificate, anti corrosion warranty and handbook. The folder also contains a number of old MoT's and invoices. The condition of this car is "show condition" and the mileage is guaranteed, part of a collection being sold to finance a commercial project.
