An early Victorian emerald and diamond memorial ring. The square-shape emerald, with old-cut diamond surround and tapered sides, to the textured foliate shoulders and glazed panel reverse. Emerald weight 0.24ct. Ring size O1/2. Weight 3.8gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
With engraving to reverse, dating 27th December, 1842.
Glazed reverse panel in fair condition, portion deficient.
Would recommend attention to all settings as some claws deficient/worn.

Emerald is a medium green, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions, possibly surface reaching.

Emerald is a later replacement.
