A large striking West German scheurich keramik jug vase, model 407-35, circa 1960's/70's of Baluster form with integral handle, finished in a bold orange ground decorated with a heavily textured black lava glaze, arranged in a distinctive spiderweb pattern. The glaze pooling across the surface to creat strong depth and contrast. It has a height of 35.5cm, with a width of 18cm, it has a minor chip to the top rim otherwise the piece is in excellent condition.
