A late Victorian garnet necklace. Comprising a graduated series of oval-shape garnet links, each with cannetille surround, to the similarly-set clasp. French assay marks. Length 38cms. Weight 28.9gms.

  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Replacement gems.
  • Clasp slightly loose, may require repair.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Garnets are a well matched dark slightly orange-red to dark red colour, with good clarity and typical inclusions, some surface reaching.

  • Garnets generally in good condition with minor abrasions, one with small chip to one side.

  • Width 1.1cms.
