LARGE GERMAN PORCELAIN BOWL & COVER. A late 19thc bowl and cover, with oval panels painted with a variety of figures within interiors, also painted with sprays of flowers, gilded decoration and moulded decoration. The lid with a finial in the shape of a boy and recumbant dog, the bowl mounted with a metal rim. Painted mark to the base. 30cms high, rim of bowl 25cms diameter.
lid seems generally fine
bowl, firing cracks to the footrim, the top section of the bowl (just under the metal rim) has some areas of restoration and you can see some surface cracks to those areas and also some wear to the surface.
