Please ensure that you read our Terms and conditions in full before bidding in the auction

You will be obligated to comply with our Terms and Conditions if you have registered for online bidding or have registered within our saleroom premises.

Paul Bebb Auctioneer take care in supplying statements as to the age, date, origin, provenance and condition are reliable and accurate, but it should be noted that all such statements are skilled opinions if provenance cannot be produced. However it should be noted that we do not guarantee condition reports , whether included in item description or provided at later date to cover all aspects of item condition and before bidding please ensure you are satisfied with the condition of the lot, all objects offered for auction are in “as found” condition.

We act as agents of both the Buyer and Seller and shall not be held responsible for any default by either the buyer or seller

The catalogue is uploaded in advance of every auction, each item is imaged accordingly and we reserve the right to the copyright of all images and written documentation such as information in the catalogue. All data and images are the property of Paul Bebb Auctioneer and no person or company may use or copy information or images without prior consent from the Auctioneer
All electrical items purchased are subject to a basic Electrical PAT Test - any items purchased that are not in full working order be must be reported to us within 48 hours of collection.

The Auctioneer has the right to cancel any auction at their discretion without prior notice

ONLINE BIDDING
We offer an online bidding service via www.easyliveAuction.com for bidders who cannot attend the sale. You must complete the registration online with all necessary

Please note that any lots purchased via easyliveAuction.com live auction service will be subject to Buyers premium plus an additional 3% commission charge + VAT at the rate imposed on the hammer price or no commission for the internet bidding if the ‘Flat Fee’ has been chosen at registration.

You can also bid in person in our Shrewsbury saleroom once a bidding registration form has been completed and a copy of formal identification has been provided.

Every person on the premises shall be deemed to be there at their own risk. Any injury or accident which may occur shall have no claim against the Auctioneer

The Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse admission to the premises of any person.

The Buyer is deemed to have accepted these conditions of sale and notices by the making of any bid

The highest bidder is the purchaser and if any dispute arises, such disputes will be settled by the Auctioneer and his decision will be final.

All lots are subject to Buyers Premium (plus vat) on the hammer price.
20.0% + VAT in the saleroom
23.0% + VAT on Internet Bidding
Minimum premium of a £3.00 + VAT per lot both on saleroom and internet bidding.

COMMISSION BIDS & TELEPHONE BIDS
Commission bids are acceptable and must be placed before the auction starts

Telephone bids – we can accept telephone bids – but the minimum bid for any telephone bidding is the lowest estimate on each lot – we will not accept telephone bids for anything under the lowest estimate stated

The Auctioneer has the right to accept or reject any bid at his discretion. If a lot has a reserve price the Auctioneer may bid on behalf of the Vendor.

On the fall of the hammer the lot becomes the responsibility of the Purchaser

The Auctioneer will endeavor to give as much information about the lots as possible, but it is up to the Purchaser to satisfy themselves as to any faults, defects and description as no refunds will be given. All measurements and weights stated will be approximate.

The Auctioneer has the right to withdraw or alter lots at their discretion.

The Vendor is not allowed to bid on any of their lots entered for sale without reserve.


PAYMENT TERMS
All goods must be paid for in full and removed from the premises within 72 hours unless prior arrangements have been made with the Auctioneer.

All persons intending to bid on lots must be registered before doing so.

No lots can be removed from the Saleroom until payment is made in Full.

Ownership of a purchased lot shall not pass to the buyer until the total amount due has been settled in full.

Any purchased lots not removed from the Saleroom within 72 hours following the auction will be liable for storage charges as we are not a storage facility. Storage Charges are £5.00 + VAT per day per lot along with any costs incurred for handling and carriage removing the lots to storage. No lots will be released from storage until payment has been made in full including all charges incurred.

Payment for items purchased through auction can be made via bank transfer, debit card or cash

Credit card payments will not be accepted over the telephone on items of silver or gold or invoices over £500 – Payment must be made for these items by bank transfer prior to collection.

We do not accept payments by cheque

Payments for purchases by debit or credit card can only be processed in person or via telephone and must comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). We cannot process payment details given by email or text, this helps us protect against the increasing risk of stolen credit cards and risk of fraud.

Non-Payment of items – if items are not paid for or subsequently not collected the auctioneers shall be at liberty to re-enter the lot or lots in a future sale 21 days after the auction date without prior notice

The auctioneer shall be entitled to the following if non-payment received
1. Issue Legal proceeding against the buyer for breach of contract
2. To rescind the sale of any other lots to the defaulting purchaser
3. To reject any further online bidding registration and further bids – and place ban on individual’s account.

POSTAGE & PACKING
Quotations for postage and packing are available upon request – no items will be dispatched from our premises until payment has been received in full

COLLECTIONS FROM AUCTION
We require all collections to be by appointment – you must ring our office to arrange a collection slot, and goods will only be released once full payment has been received

SELLERS INFORMATION
All items delivered to our saleroom or collected on behalf of Vendors are deemed to be for sale by auction unless otherwise stated and will be sold and that the seller is the true owner of the goods and is legally authorised to sell the goods.

A Vendors entry form must be filled out in full with all details and signed by the Vendor and or person authorised to sell contents, and a copy of identification must be provided. Once this form has been completed the seller authorises Paul Bebb Auctioneer to deduct commission and to retain the buyer’s premium payable by the purchaser and to deduct charges where applicable.
VAT will be added to the commission charge.

Where the seller is an executor or administrator of an estate the seller gives Paul Bebb instructions to sell this lot and may sell the lot without reserve or place a reserve on the lot.

We reserve the right to refuse any goods

The seller gives discretion to Paul Bebb Auctioneer to divide or combine any lots and to withdraw any lot in case of any dispute

The auctioneer is unable to deal in items containing ivory, unless they are registered as exempt or you can provide certification of exemption. The Ivory act applies throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland further details available under Ivory Act 2018

Current Commission rates and charges – current rates but subject to change by the auctioneer

Vendors Commission 20%– plus VAT – Commission may be negotiable on higher value items, please contact the auctioneer

Electrical PAT Testing - £3.00 plus VAT per item – any item failing this test will be disposed of without prior notice to the vendor and the full cost of disposal shall be borne by the vendor

Unsold Lot Fees - £3.00 per lot plus VAT

We do not charge a lotting/administration or cataloguing fee.

In the event that a buyer fails to pay for a lot purchased through the auction the auctioneer shall be entitled to rescind the sale against the Vendors Account accordingly, and re-enter said lots into future auction.

DISPOSALS & UNSOLD LOTS
Unsold lots from the auction must be collected by the vendor within 72 hours from the date of auction by appointment through our office, unsold lots relating to house clearances carried out by us – will be dealt with by Paul Bebb Auctioneer and may be grouped together

Any item unsold that has not been collected within 14 days from date of auction will be disposed of and any such costs of disposal and storage will be borne by the vendor.

RESERVES
The seller may place reserves on any lot prior to the commencement of the auction
If no reserve is placed on a lot it will be sold without reserve – the seller may not bid for his own lot, The Auctioneer has the right to bid on behalf of the seller (including the right to make consecutive bids) up to the amount of the reserve in respect of any lot which has a reserve on

The Auctioneer reserves the right to use his discretion at the auction in respect of lots sold without reserve.

The Auctioneer reserves the right to place reasonable estimates on items entered for auction.
1. We can offer a packing service - Charges are £10.00 handling fee (which includes packing) plus any postage costs

2. Please be aware that we cannot offer postage of Jewellery, Weapons, Ceramics or Paintings and Pictures and we do not offer postage internationally

3. We can offer a delivery service for bigger items both locally and nationwide – Please contact the Auctioneers for a free no obligation quote.

4. Buyers can also arrange their own courier service – but notice must be given to the auctioneers of company collecting goods.

5. Goods will not be released to any courier if payment of items has not been received in full.

6. The buyers must ensure that their couriers have the appropriate staff on their vehicles to load goods themselves
