Making a bid :
Please read carefully before you bid:
By Bidding on items you are entering a contract governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
Once you have successfully registered for Online Bidding in a Sale, you will be eligible to bid online at that Sale.
During a Sale, you can bid for a lot by clicking the Bid button. Each bid shall be final and binding as soon as you click the Bid button.
The current bid will be displayed on your screen during the Sale.
You acknowledge that you are bidding in a timed auction and you agree that each bid submitted as provided in these terms and conditions is irrevocable and cannot be amended or corrected, even if submitted in error and notified to us. You accept full liability for all bids submitted via your Online Bidding account (including the liability to pay in full and on time in accordance with the Bid Conditions for any lot that is the subject of a successful bid submitted from your account).
Once the auction has closed the buyer will receive an invoice the following day with details of how payments can be made. We do not accept cash or payment over the telephone. You can pay by bank transfer, or (Paypal 6% surcharge). Instructions on how to pay are displayed on the invoice
All winning bids to be paid for by 5pm on the Tuesday following the auction, Failure to do so could result in your card being charged for the purchase amount and you could be blocked from bidding again with Gemstone Auctioneers
Please note that Gemstone Auctioneers reserves the right to reject a registration to bid online, withdraw its permission for you to use Online Bidding with Gemstone Auctioneers or terminate an Online Bidding account with Gemstone Auctioneers, for any reason at any time prior to, during or after a Sale.
WE ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR ANY FAILURE OR DELAY IN EXECUTING BIDS OR ANY ERRORS CONTAINED IN BIDS PLACED VIA THE ONLINE BIDDING SERVICE.

Most of the certified gemstones can be checked at the lab where the gemstone have been certified, please go to appraisal web site for further information and or enter the certificate number where requested.
All the items sold via Gemstone Auctioneers have been verified by GIA graduate gemologist professionals to be accurate real precious or semi precious natural gemstones. The buyer accepts full responsibility for any winning bids made during the auction, Due to people trying/changing the gemstones and applying for refunds, Gemstone Auctioneers will not offer or give any refunds, Gemstone Auctioneers will not get in to any communications or be liable for any refunds.
Where there are more than 1 item with each auction lot, certain certification refers to one of the items, the items have been taken to the lab in question where one item is taken from the lot at random and checked for the identity and certification, All items in the said lot will be real natural gemstones as detailed with the certification. Gemstone Auctioneers will not enter in to any communication or offer any refunds with the purchaser who has purchased lots with more than one item that certifies a single gemstone.
Please be aware that all photographs and video of the gemstone are taken with 20 x magnification lenses to show the true characteristics of the gemstone, the gemstone/s will appear larger than is actual. Gemstone Auctioneers will not be responsible for any refunds if any buyer disputes the size of the gemstone/s.
Due to security we do not accept any collections for the winning bids, we offer a delivery service by Royal mail, As soon as any item leaves our premises, Gemstone Auctioneers will not be responsible or liable if any item is then lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed. You should therefore ensure that your purchase is covered by insurance if appropriate from the time you arrange for it to be delivered, we can add additional insurance to your parcel with royal mail before it is shipped, please notify us “STRAIGHT AWAY IF YOU REQUIRE EXTRA INSURANCE” a charge may apply at royal mail insurance charge rates.
The buyer acknowledges that a sale by auction IS NOT a consumer sale for the purposes of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended by the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994 and as replaced by the Consumer Rights Act 2015) and the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 / 1999 Regulations and the Buyer shall not seek to rely upon any conditions or warranties implied thereby or by any other legislation.
By Bidding on any items : These conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. All transactions to which these conditions apply and all connected matters shall also be governed by English law. Any dispute arising out of any auction or any matter arising from our dealings with any Seller, Bidder or Buyer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
