Buyers - Payments, Collections, Delivery, Info:

Our auctions are timed auctions with bidding via the internet only.
We can offer viewings by appointment only. Alternatively, if you require further info on an item please email us or submit a condition report request.
We can offer collection of any items you win by appointment only. Social distancing rules apply.
If you would like to collect please email us to arrange a collection date and time within the timeframes shown below.
Collection times are: Monday 20th July 9am - 3pm, Tuesday 21st July 9am - 3pm and Wednesday 22nd July 9am - 3pm or if you cant make those days we are also open on Saturday 25th July 9am - 11am following the auction on Sunday 19th July.
Most small items won from this auction can be posted to the buyer. Below is a price guide for posting. Larger items are for collection only (furniture, box lots, etc) these lots will be marked in the description as "collection only for this item".

Third party man and van collections are welcome for larger orders and furniture providing the customer lets us know: Courier company name and contact number and a two hour collection slot and date of collection so we can prepare the items ready for collection. We do not allow third party parcel collections.

The only payment options we are accepting for this auction is cash on collection or bank transfer.
We do not accept debit/credit cards. We do not accept paypal. We do not accept cheques.

Bank transfer details are on the invoice you will receive once the auction has ended. It will be a pdf attachment or in the form of a link on the email notification you receive once the auction has ended. There is no option to pay by card via the link in the email.
We do not have a system in place to take card payments over the phone, so cash or bank transfer only please.
If you are an international buyer then our Iban/Bic details will also be on the invoice.
It is the international buyers responsibility to ensure the correct currency amounts are converted, so we receive full payment. Please note: Your bank may charge you a fee when sending international payments.

Payments should be completed by Saturday 25th July at 11am after the auction on Sunday.
If a customer fails to pay by the date shown above, then the items will be re-offered in a future auction and the bidder will be suspended from future auctions. By registering to bid at our auctions you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

Royal Mail large letter 2nd class signed for delivery up to 750 grams is £5.00. (per parcel).
Royal Mail small parcel 2nd class signed for delivery up to 2kgs is £7.50. (per parcel).
Parcelforce/DHL UK Mainland parcel up to 15kgs 48 hour delivery is £17.50. (per parcel).
Parcelforce N.Ireland, Isles (Isle of Man) & Highlands parcel up to 15kgs 3 day service is £25.00. (per parcel).
Parcelforce Republic of Ireland parcel up to 15kgs 3-5 day service is £30.00. (per parcel).

The above prices include packaging materials and our time to pick and pack the parcel.
Please note: Due to the current situation there may be a delay with the courier delivery times.

Please allow 21 days for your order to be dispatched from the date we receive your payment. We do not have a dedicated posting/packaging department. We aim to have parcels dispatched within 7 days from date of payment.

All breakables are sent at the buyers risk, please bare this in mind when bidding as we will not be able to assist if your parcel is delivered damaged. All breakables will be bubble wrapped.

This is a timed auction, lots start ending from 1pm on Sunday with a 30 second gap between each lot ending. If a bid is placed within the final few minutes of an item ending, then the timer will be extended by a few minutes automatically. This is Easy Live Auctions system for timed auctions.
Each auction lot offered will be advertised with a brief description, measurements if applicable, photos of the lot, estimates and starting price. There are NO reserves on any of the items offered.

All electrical, mechanical and battery items are sold as untested unless stated in the description. A/F = as found. All items in the auction are sold as seen. Email us for a condition report.

If for any reason we need to cancel the transaction and refund a customer, this will be completed via the same payment method which we originally received the payment. We do not issue refunds by debit/credit card, cheque or paypal. Only via the same method originally used to pay.

The buyer to be the highest bidder who will pay the hammer price plus a commission.
Total commission is 18%.


Vendor - Information:

We accept items from vendors ranging from single items to entire house contents.
To enter an item into one of our auctions you will need to contact us to arrange a date/time to come and see us, fill out a vendor form with your personal details and bank details so we can pay you when your items have sold. You will then be allocated a vendor reference number which will stay the same if you decide to become a regular vendor. We pay our vendors 10 days after the auction has ended via bank transfer. Providing the buyer has paid in full for the items.
Vendors commission is 15% (no vat). There are no other fees associated with selling your items. All you pay is 15% commission. If an item is unsold we will notify you so you can arrange to collect the items. Again we do not charge a fee if an item is unsold. If an unsold item is not collected within 3 days from the end of the auction, then it will be disposed of at the auctioneers discretion.

We also offer a house clearance service where we will attend your property, assess the contents you would like to be removed.
You may have some items which would be ideal to go to auction where we would itemise these items on a vendor form, allocate you a vendor reference number and sell in one of our future auctions. There will be a charge for this service depending on how many items you have to be removed and your location. The charge is to cover fuel costs and manpower.

Items which are not suitable to go into one of our auctions will either be donated to charity or disposed of. There is a charge for removing this type of clearance again to cover our fuel costs, manpower and waste/recycling costs.

In the case of a dispute the lot may be re-offered at the auctioneers discretion. The auctioneers discretion is final. The auctioneer reserves the right to cancel the sale of any lot whilst the item is still on the premises.

Each buyer/bidder is required to register with the auction house prior to bidding on the auction by providing their name, address, telephone number and email address. Also, a delivery address if required. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure the details registered are correct at all times. The auctioneers will NOT be responsible for any loss, damage or injury on the premises. There is FREE parking on site and again we will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury sustained in the car park or in the auction rooms.

All descriptions, estimates, starting prices, reserves, imagery and condition reports are at the auctioneers discretion. It is the buyers responsibility to examine lots to determine condition before bidding on the item as no refunds will be issued after the fall of the hammer. If you would like to request a viewing, then this is by appointment only. A condition report can also be requested via email.

Commission bids are accepted by Treasure Chest Auctions where the auctioneer will proxy bid on your behalf.

Most items offered in the auctions are solely offered by The Treasure Chest (Harrogate) Ltd. This allows us to sell items with no reserves and low starting prices.
