On Sunday 16th of September, Alnwick Auctions have some interesting lots going under the hammer. We have detailed a few below, but you can check out the catalogue for the full list of lots.

Silver gilt and glass vodka set

The first lot of interest in this sale is Lot 36. This Silver gilt and glass vodka set was presented to Richard Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, the second Baron Acton. It was presented to him back in 1920 as a retirement present from his fellow staff members.

The set is fully boxed with cartouche and in mint condition. It was made in Russia and has St Petersburg hallmarks. The box reads “The Lord Acton K.C.UO From The Staff Of The British Legation Helsingfors 1920”.

The second item of interest is Lot 90, which is a signed Ian Fleming limited first edition book. The book is in great condition and comes with original clear dust cover. It is one of only 250 first editions of 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' which was released in 1963. This book is number 63 of 250.

BSA winged wheel motorbike

Our final lot of interest is Lot 105, which is a BSA winged wheel motorbike. The bike is in excellent condition and was never registered with zero miles on the clock! As you can imagine this makes it extremely rare. Alnwick Auctions have all the manuals for the bike along with the original receipt.
