Lionel Messi World Cup Ring Up for Auction

A remarkable piece of football history is set to go under the hammer, offering collectors and sports memorabilia enthusiasts the chance to own Lionel Messi’s 2022 World Cup ring. Commissioned following Argentina’s historic FIFA World Cup triumph, this exceptional 18ct white gold and diamond-set ring combines luxury craftsmanship with immense sporting significance.

In 2022, the FIFA World Cup saw Argentina claim victory after defeating France in the final on 18th December. This was the first tournament held in the Middle East, with all matches being played in Qatar. After 90 minutes of play, the match ended in a dramatic 3-3 draw. Following extra time, Argentina went on to win the penalty shootout with an impressive 4-2 score.

Leading the Argentina team and widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, was Lionel Messi. On 26th June, you will have the opportunity to bid on his 2022 World Cup ring.

This stunning 18ct white gold ring features a clear sapphire head enclosing a World Cup trophy. Baguette and round-cut diamonds sit around the ring head and shank. The shoulders display the Argentine Football Association crest and the inscription Campeones 2022. The piece is hallmarked MJJ 750.

Messi commissioned M J Jones to create this stand-alone piece. Working from his studio in Nottingham, UK, M J Jones has also created jewellery for Luis Suarez, Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford.
