Easy Live Auction's Top 10 Selling Lots of 2018

We take a look back at the top 10 selling lots of 2018 by their internet hammer price.

2018 was an interesting year which has seen it's ups and downs. As it draws to an end we have decided to take a look back at the best selling lots through our online bidding platform over the course of the year. We start at number 10 and work our way through to the most expensive item sold on Easy Live Auction in 2018.

Without further ado we will begin.

No.10 2006 TVR Tamora - £20,200

This particular car had its own interesting history. This example is one of the last, if not THE very last, TVR Tamora to drive off the production line from TVR Blackpool before the factory ceased production.

With only one owner from new, the car had not been used very much over the last 8 years or so as can be seen from the MOTS, it required restoration work to the seats and carpets to bring it back to its former glory.

No.9 Volvo EC160BLC Excavator - £20,500

This Volvo Excavator went under the hammer with Douglas Auction House on August 18th. First registered in April 2007 it included a kinshofer rotator, 2 booms( one extended) and various buckets. Last serviced on 06/03/2018 a leaking pump regulator was listed as a known fault.

No.8 Blank Ears Up Hare Sculpture - £21,000

On the 11th of October, the GoGoHares charity auction took place. Huge, unique sculptures of hares were created to raise money for Break charity. This particular sale was for a blank hare which could be created with the buyers very own design.

No.7 Audemars Piguet Gentleman's Royal Oak Chronograph Bracelet Watch - £22,000

With an 18ct rose gold case, black 'Tapisserie' dial with luminous baton hour markers and an 18ct rose gold bracelet with double folding clasp, this gentleman's watch certainly stands out from the crowd.

Bidders battled it out on November 27th when this fine example went under the hammer with Fellows Auctioneers.

No.6 Impressive 18ct White Gold and Solitaire Diamond Ring - £26,000

This impressive 18ct white gold and solitaire diamond ring with round brilliant-cut diamonds of approximately 6.80 carats went down well with buyers on the 21st of April when Dawsons Auctioneers sold it for £26,000.

No.5 Extensive Collection of Chinese Blue and White Porcelain - £28,500

This extensive collection of Chinese blue and white porcelain included stands and a variety of vases. The collection was sold by Criterion Auctions on October 15th exceeding all expectations.

No.4 18ct Gold Diamond Single-Stone Ring - £30,000

This beautiful ring was well deserving of its price tag when it went under the hammer with Fellows Auctioneers on 18th of January.

It was in very good condition, with an internally flawless diamond which had an estimated total diamond weight of 3.40cts.

No.3 JCB JZ140LC - £35,500

This JCB excavator went to auction on August the 18th with Douglas Auction House for £35,500.

First registered in March 2013 it came complete with various buckets and was last serviced in March 2018, making it a good investment for anyone in the construction industry.

No.2 American Airstream Land Yaught Safari Caravan - €37000

This iconic American retro caravan went under the hammer with Victor Mee Auctions on June 19th. The iconic chromed silver finish and the retro rounded shape make this a very desirable caravan indeed for those with deep pockets.

No.1 1962 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 S1 Roadster - £90,000

On June the 5th this beauty, dubbed the most beautiful car ever made by none other than Enzo Ferrari, sold for £90,000 with Baron's Auctioneers.

This example was fully restored back in 2002 and was an extremely fine example of an E-Type. It came with a DVD documenting the restoration process and a heritage certificate. It's no surprise at all that this car commanded such a price tag, earning it its spot on the top of our list for 2018.
